- Smart Bin
- Remote Clinic
- Smart Hand Sanitizer
At first, I embarked on this project with the intention of addressing the challenge faced by street-cleaning staff in ensuring their safety at work and improving the environment of my neighborhood. The Smart Bin, designed to automatically categorize various types of trash into three distinct categories – recyclable, non-recyclable, and glass – serves the dual purpose of promoting recycling and mitigating injuries to cleaners caused by shards of glass concealed within piles of garbage.
The classification process involves a collaborative effort between two key components: the classifier and the controller. The classifier is responsible for categorizing trash using AI, while the controller operates motors to deposit the trash into the appropriate bin. The synergy between these two components ensures a seamless and efficient classification process.
The COVID-19 pandemic placed significant strain on the medical infrastructure of Ho Chi Minh City, prompting the need for strategies to mitigate this burden. Although patients with mild illnesses are typically easier to manage, the sheer influx of such cases necessitates a substantial portion of doctors’ attention for proper care. As a result, this diversion of focus impacts the availability of resources for COVID-19 patients, further intensifying the gravity of the pandemic.
Consequently, I embarked on research and devised a project aimed at providing online medical consultations for individuals with mild illnesses. The system consist of 3 main modules:
- The mobile application used by patients
- The web application for doctors
- The third component is the server and database system used to connect patients with doctors and store the medical examination information.
Traditional hand sanitizers, when used manually, can inadvertently contribute to the spread of infections through the handling of the sanitizer containers. In response to this concern, my smart hand sanitizer presents a promising solution. This innovation features an automated sprayer designed for precise mist dispersion, coupled with an infrared sensor that detects users’ hands. By eliminating the need for physical contact during application, my smart hand sanitizer significantly mitigates the risk of COVID-19 exposure.
The efficacy of this invention was recognized when it secured a prize in the Children’s Creativity Contest held in Ho Chi Minh City. My product is used in my class and school, and it was also experimented in a room of the TMA solution software company. The success of this smart hand sanitizer brings me immense joy as it underscores my contribution to my society’s battle against the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

1. President of BotBrainiacs Club
As the President of the BotBrainiacs Club, I lead a community of like-minded individuals who share a fervor for robotics and computer science. Within this club, enthusiasts convene to embark on thrilling projects and share valuable insights (e.g. Drone controlling, PID mechanism, Lego robotics…) with both participants and followers, fostering a culture of learning and innovation.
2. Captain at Tran Dai Nghia Robot Club
In my role as a robotics team leader, I’ve successfully guided and cooperated with team members in undertaking a multitude of projects and participating in numerous robotics competitions. These experiences have not only enriched our learning but also led to our remarkable achievements, earning us several awards in these competitions.
“Our Beloved Summer” – a voluntary expedition to the borderlands near Tinh Bien town in An Giang, Vietnam – has engraved countless unforgettable experiences into the fabric of my memory. In each of our hearts, an unwavering passion blazed, fueled by the desire to bring happiness to borderland elementary students in “C An Hao” elementary school through our lessons and play sessions.
I vividly recall the moments when we stood before the class, teaching English to the children. Their exposure to the language was limited. Initially, I held reservations that the knowledge I aimed to convey might prove challenging for them to grasp. However, they showcased their perseverance, their eagerness to learn, and their lively, dynamic engagement with this new language.
The programming class brought even more enjoyment. Taking the lead in this class, I naturally sought to accurately convey simple programming concepts while infusing an element of fun and excitement. Recognizing that connecting new knowledge to familiar concepts is one of the most effective methods of retention, I devised a curriculum resembling a chase game intertwined with small real-life anecdotes. The students thoroughly reveled in exploring the realm of programming through this approach to learning.
The dynamism and joy were further palpable through the game stalls we set up. We meticulously planned a day of game festivities, encompassing outdoor and indoor activities. I was responsible for organizing one of the outdoor game. Unfortunately, rain began to pour just as we arrived at school. Our initial plans were dashed. Nonetheless, we regrouped, devising a simple yet incredibly fun game, reminiscent of a traditional tossing game I used to play in my rural hometown. Surprisingly and fortunately, the students in Tinh Bien also took a liking to this game, and we played from midday until late afternoon. Their laughter resonated, intermingling with the patter of raindrops.
We also set up a small basketball court for the students and gifted them a set of seven basketballs to enjoy during their free moments.
The gentle caresses of cool breezes and sporadic gusts of wind through the open classrooms somehow made the environment surprisingly comfortable, even in the absence of air conditioning or fans.Amid the refreshing weather, surrounded by laughter, within the mountainous atmosphere of Tinh Bien, my heart appeared to exude a vibrant radiance.
My love for playing basketball runs deep, as it not only fills me with immense joy and contributes to my overall well-being, but also ignites my competitive spirit and fortifies my perseverance in the face of challenges. Not every shot I take ends up making its mark, and even when shots do go in, not all of them gracefully swish through the net. Yet, my commitment remains steadfast: to give my all in every scoring opportunity and to learn from each missed shot, using them as stepping stones to improvement.
Every basketball match serves as a gateway for me to cultivate new friendships, especially in the context of school tournaments. I remember every game where I played alongside my fellows: Quoc An, Gia Khang, Ngoc Thinh,…. Everyone has been trying to achieve new heights, gaining new skills and contributing to the game. Witnessing the dedication they poured into reaching such a high level of skill evoked in me a profound respect. This motivated me to make a personal commitment to push myself harder in my own pursuits – striving to exceed my own limits and achieve remarkable feats like those I had seen.
